Discover the youngest volcano on the island of Tenerife. Visiting the Chinyero Nature Reserve is a must if you are on the island. During this route, you will be able to admire one of the most impressive volcanic landscapes in Tenerife. In addition to its geological value, this area has a fascinating history as the last volcano to erupt on the island. Walking here will certainly be an unforgettable experience, and every step will remind you of the recent lava flows that passed through this area.

- After meeting the guide at the meeting point, you will receive a brief introduction to the activity and basic instructions on trail progress and environmental protection rules.
- This circular route begins with a comfortable ascending path. At the beginning, we will pass through a forest of Canary pines, known for their remarkable resilience, having survived volcanic eruptions on the islands.
- At the highest point of the route, you will be able to admire the impressive volcano rising to a height of 1561 meters above sea level. From this vantage point, you can observe how lava flows have shaped the landscape and see how the Canary pines have stubbornly survived.
- From this point, there are extraordinary views of Teide and Pico Viejo, which will surely catch your attention, adding even more scenic beauty to this trail.
- Just before finishing the route, you will reach a climax point where you can walk across long fields of hardened lava. This trail is ideal if you want to explore volcanic lands and enjoy a spectacular contrast of colors!

Recommendations
- It is recommended to wear hiking boots or sports shoes with a good sole.
- Bring your personal medication if needed.
