A paratrike is a variant of paragliding that includes a three-wheeled vehicle, called a trike, which is a type of motorized tricycle. Instead of running to take off and land as is done in traditional paragliding, a paratrike uses a trike with a motor to facilitate takeoff and landing. This type of configuration offers a more accessible way to enjoy paragliding, eliminating the need for specific wind conditions or high-altitude takeoffs. A paratrike flight is the fastest and simplest way to get into the sky. You take off and fly while sitting in the cart the entire time, eliminating the need for a running takeoff, which can be stressful. Powered flight is an excellent alternative for people with limited mobility or older adults who want to enjoy free flight, just sit and enjoy the experience. The duration of the paratrike flight is exactly 25 minutes, as the paramotor allows us to choose the exact time spent in the air. What about the noise? you ask... Although the motor we carry generates quite a bit of noise, we will provide you with special headphones that reduce noise and have a Bluetooth communication system so you can be in contact with the pilot throughout the flight. If you are concerned about the noise during a paratrike flight and enjoy being in direct contact with nature, we recommend a long-duration paragliding flight. The paratrike flight activity is weather-dependent. Both the possibility of flight and the area in which the activity will take place depend on the weather conditions of the day. Cancellation with a full refund by the customer must be made at least 72 hours in advance.

A paratrike flight requires an engine mounted on a special cart, which allows us to take off from the ground and fly without the need to run. At Daydream, we only have one trike, so flights will be carried out individually. The advantage of a paratrike compared to free flight in the mountains is that both take-off and landing are done from the same point, which will also be the meeting place. This means there are no restrictions on companionship - you can come with any number of friends! If someone else dares to fly, they can do it right after yours.

I heard that a paramotor generates a lot of noise. Is that true?

Powered flight activity generates noise from the engine, which provides us with the necessary thrust for takeoff. Just like a paratrike has many advantages compared to free flight (greater ease of takeoff, unlimited number of companions, etc.), the main drawback is the noise. Therefore, at Daydream, we have specialized equipment to minimize this noise as much as possible.

Good question! Our headphones, in addition to having a noise reduction system, are equipped with an advanced communication system, thanks to which absolutely everything you say will be heard by the instructor, and vice versa, allowing direct contact throughout the activity.

At what age can you fly?

To participate in tandem flights with an instructor, there is no legally defined age. For the minimum age, we ask that the child can express themselves and that the desire to fly comes from them. Under no circumstances should it be a trip that an adult wants the child to take. Additionally, it is important that the child has experience with the takeoff to understand what it entails. Regarding the maximum age, the passenger must be motivated. We adapt our flights to the different needs that a body full of wisdom and experience may have. So far, our oldest passenger was 93 years old.

Do I need prior experience to participate in the activity?

It's simple, none! Just bring the desire to enjoy the flight and see the island from the best perspectives, most of our passengers also fly for the first time. In case of any physical limitations that may affect your movements, or if you are unsure whether your limitation may affect the normal functioning of the activity, please contact us by phone before the day of the booking, and we will adapt the flight so you can do it with all guarantees.

What clothes should I bring?

Even though the sun is shining and it is warm on the coast, the temperature in the air is usually lower, so we always recommend long pants and a jacket (preferably with a zipper so you can open it in the air if it gets warm). In paratrike, we eliminate the run during takeoff that takes place in free flight, however, we still recommend wearing closed and flat shoes to avoid cold feet and feel more comfortable. Sunglasses are also recommended for complete comfort.

Can I take photos and videos during the activity?

All our pilots have cameras to take photos and videos during the activity. The use of any electronic devices during the paragliding flight is not allowed. All items that may fall are the responsibility of the pilot and the company, so we are only responsible for those elements that we have previously confirmed as correctly installed and secured. Our cameras are prepared not to hinder the pilot's work in flight and are secured in case of an accident.

Can someone accompany me during the activity?

Yes, as long as we have available seats in the vehicle. Alternatively, if you have your own vehicle, you can accompany us to the flight location. You will see your companion taking off and landing with the biggest smile you have ever seen, and even if you are left with the desire, you can perform the activity at the same time, provided we have availability.
